Pacific Islands Trade & Invest grants for Australian volunteers

PTI-logo-web

Do you have an idea for an initiative that would strengthen the private sector in the Pacific?

Australians volunteering with AVID in the Pacific are eligible to apply for Pacific Investment Grants supported by Pacific Islands Trade & Invest (PIT&I).

Funded by PIT&I, each grant is worth a maximum of AUD$1,500. Up to ten grants are available in each round, with multiple rounds each year. The grants enable Australian volunteers to build on partner organisation impact through their volunteering experience, and deliver positive outcomes for private sector development in the Pacific.

Volunteers have previously used Pacific Investment Grants to support a wide range of initiatives:

  • Capacity building and training for staff at a partner organisation
  • Development of promotional material to market a product or service
  • Attendance at an exhibition or conference to network with prospective consumer markets
  • Research to aid market development for a product or service
  • Product development
  • Development of new tourism experiences

At present, only volunteers supported by Scope Global are eligible to apply.

Webinars will be held to provide further information and discuss the grants with potential applicants, at the following times;

  • 12 April – 10:00-11:00am ACST

Register to attend a webinar.

Applications for grant funding open 1 April 2017 and close 21 April 2017.
