Application Information 

AVID assignments are advertised on a monthly basis, with about 700 opportunities each year for skilled Australians to live, work and make a difference in developing countries.

Applications open on the first of each month and close at midnight, Canberra time, on the 21st of the same month.

The following key dates apply to the majority of assignments advertised, however there are sometimes exceptions. Always refer to the assignment advertising page for additional information.

Applicants should note they are expected to attend the relevant Australian Volunteers Briefing specified below and be available to mobilise at any point within the final two weeks of the mobilisation month.
