Come and work for Aoga Fiamalamalama whose mission is to provide equality and quality of life for all people with disabilities and to support total personal development in a caring environment, free from discrimination.
Aoga Fiamalamalama is an NGO and a special school for young adults and children with disabilities. Currently the school is working towards improving education for people with disabilities while also developing programs to make an easier transition into the wider community, especially for those with intellectual disabilities.
In your role as Disability Support Officer you will review what services are available in the school for students with a disability. You will identify relevant training and develop resources to address knowledge gaps and assist staff to identify potential programs that might be beneficial for the students and their parents.
Your role will contribute to increased community awareness and access to effective and meaningful services for students and parents.
