|Proposed Start Date||October 2017|
|Assignment Location||Siem Reap, Cambodia|
Calling all dog lovers! Bring your passion for these friendly canines to Siem Reap, Cambodia to develop a new humanitarian start-up, the Explosive Detection Dog Show.
The Explosive Detection Dog Show is a project run by Norwegian People's Aid (NPA), an organisation committed to ridding the world of landmines and other explosive remnants of war, which remain, often decades after conflict has ended. Removing mines is a painstakingly slow process and dogs, with their heightened senses, are one of the most effective ways to speed this up. As an income-generating project, the dog show aims to provide financial support for training highly specialised dogs to be deployed in humanitarian disarmament operations in the South East Asia region.
As Operations Advisor, your role will be to work with NPA staff to build their capacity in the day-to-day operations of the show and the sales and marketing of the Explosive Detection Dog Show, to new and existing audiences.
This role will unlock the potential of NPA’s extraordinary dogs, ultimately contributing to the organisation’s goal of reducing risk to civilians posed by landmines and unexploded ordnance.
