Assignment Summary
The Training and Development Centre for Special Education (TDCSE) strives to be one of the leading centres of national research, training and counselling in special education. Help them to realise this goal.

TDCSE is a not for profit early intervention centre providing therapy to infants and children from 18 months to 7 years, identified with development delays and/or disabilities. It has been in operation for over 20 years and was the first of its kind in Vietnam. TDCSE is also a resource centre for schools throughout Vietnam and provides support to children with disabilities, while undertaking research that supports the advancement of special education in Vietnam.

The Paediatric Therapist Trainer will train staff in providing appropriate assessments and treatment to children attending the centre, as well as supporting the development of resources to support schools educating children with disabilities. You will continue and build on the work of the current volunteer by conducting regular workshops to all teachers and weekly discussion groups with those interested in further developing their skills. Additionally, you will continue mentoring the teachers and support implementing strategies taught at the workshops, which have proven to be extremely helpful in the application of new skills. You will also facilitate the development of resources, and build on those already established by the current volunteer such as the Vietnamese language screen and the augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) options for non-verbal children.
