Work with Habitat for Humanity Fiji (HFH Fiji) as a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, supporting HFH Fiji’s emergency response operations, assisting those affected by Tropical Cyclone Winston through post-cyclone reconstruction efforts.
With the destruction of TC Winston leaving over 13,000 people sheltering at 274 evacuation centres around the country and thousands of houses damaged, with remaining need for emergency shelter, tools and supplies throughout Fiji. HFH Fiji is playing a crucial role in responding to the disaster and assisting rebuild homes for low income earners in rural areas which were greatly affected.
The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will support HFH Fiji deliver post-disaster response and shelter requests. With the increased demand following TC Winston, there remains a need to effectively and efficiently provide rapid relief to communities, as well as long term recovery.
You will be working with dedicated staff to support their capacity in reporting and use of communication tools, in order to effectively communicate with donors, partners, media and internal stakeholders. You will strengthen the Community Development team capability for data collection and analysis in order to provide prioritised assistance to vulnerable populations.
This assignment will support HFH Fiji deliver its key programs and disaster response efforts and lead to an improved standard of living in communities across Fiji.
